definitely orginally intended for this playlist to be all sad female artists and their angst against love, being loved and loving. the main song that started the inspiration was Replaceable Heads by Soko. the song itself gives me strong faye webster vibes with how the topic of the song and how soko addresses the love interest directly, slightly breaking from the flow of the song.


another song on the same theme was wished bone's yellowstoned. her descriptions of the people she loved before hit close to home for me. and the intro the song is just so... 2010s coming of age movie i'd watch on my ipad in bed at 2am. musically, this song reminds me of soccer mommy. definitely love the sound and the feel.

This Time - Tanukichan is definitely is a retroactive view on my past relationship. during it i definitely had my moments where i wondered where or not it was a smart thing to be in. telling myself, well maybe it really will be worth it. the last minute of the song sonically leaves the thoughts and wondering still lingering. slowly fading to silence.

and honestly only recently been listening to music through lyrics. i am the type to like a song based on the overall sound first. then afterwards i get into the lyrics. i broke my original goal of having the whole playlist be female artists bc i found some songs that sonically fit the majority of songs already in here. Return to Cherry by Part Time was a good opener and transitioned decently into Replaceable Heads. EDGE-GIRL by Sindy also was a good transition between Star and Everyone Is So In Love With You. and similarly I Love Sharing by You Will Know Ali was a good faster pace song between Everyone Is So In Love with You and Hideous Town.
