oh she's taking it
letting all the thoughts get to heri get addicted to skin and smell
but i know it's just cheap lust
and replaceable heads...
i'm never sure that what i feel is what i need
i'm so insecure, needless to say
and maybe there will be another you
another head...
now you're the one who knows me best
and hates me most
i dont wanna love anyone
another song on the same theme was wished bone's yellowstoned. her descriptions of the people she loved before hit close to home for me. and the intro the song is just so... 2010s coming of age movie i'd watch on my ipad in bed at 2am. musically, this song reminds me of soccer mommy. definitely love the sound and the feel.
the girl that i loved, she is gone and all i've got now are our songs...
the boy that i loved, he is gone. i heard he moved to yellowstone.
he wanted to build us a house, somewhere to breathe out of town.
This Time - Tanukichan is definitely is a retroactive view on my past relationship. during it i definitely had my moments where i wondered where or not it was a smart thing to be in. telling myself, well maybe it really will be worth it. the last minute of the song sonically leaves the thoughts and wondering still lingering. slowly fading to silence.
but i think i see it in your eyes
oh i know i can be so blind
maybe it'll be worth it this time.
some other notable lyrics:
while you sleep away your troubles and forget
i hope you have sweet dreams...
i wanna go
everywhere you go
i wanna know
everything you know
what makes you think that i love you
the worst thing you can do is pick apart your mind
you get a shit ton of confessions and a lot of wasted time
everyone is so in love with you
and honestly only recently been listening to music through lyrics. i am the type to like a song based on the overall sound first. then afterwards i get into the lyrics. i broke my original goal of having the whole playlist be female artists bc i found some songs that sonically fit the majority of songs already in here. Return to Cherry by Part Time was a good opener and transitioned decently into Replaceable Heads. EDGE-GIRL by Sindy also was a good transition between Star and Everyone Is So In Love With You. and similarly I Love Sharing by You Will Know Ali was a good faster pace song between Everyone Is So In Love with You and Hideous Town.
